Monday 4th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 42: It’s my housemate, Jenita’s birthday today. My other housemate and I made her a sushi birthday cake and we celebrated by making Mexican food and drinking a little too much tequila! It’s a shame we couldn’t go anywhere but it’s been a good day nonetheless!
Tuesday 5th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 43: Today, I focused a lot on my coursework as I plan to for the rest of the week. I can’t wait for it to be out of the way now so that I can try to make the most of the rest of lockdown with a bit less stress.
Wednesday 6th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 44: Work, work, work.
Thursday 7th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 45: We clapped for the NHS again today, as usual. I love Thursdays!
Friday 8th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 46: Today I continued to do more work. It’s really getting me down lately. I’m still angry about the way uni students have been dealt with since this all began and it’s making me resentful of doing work all the time. It’s difficult to continue with work, knowing this project won’t really mean much to my overall grade, but I know I’ll be disappointed in myself if I don’t put all my effort into it.
Saturday 9th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 47: It’s my Grandad’s birthday today. I sent him a cheese hamper. I’m usually at uni at this time, but we always celebrate when I come home. And he would have been celebrating with the rest of my family usually. We FaceTimed though, and I think he’s had a nice day. It’s his favourite thing to do the gardening, so he’s still been able to do what he enjoys.
Sunday 10th May – LOCKDOWN DAY 48: It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in lockdown for seven weeks now, and still with no end in sight! I feel our government could have responded to this better, and we might be better off now. But it can’t be changed. It’s gone surprisingly quickly, at least. And everyday is another day closer to life being back to normal.
