In this week’s Skype tutorial with Simon I explained that I’ve been looking at lots of visual research but I’m still struggling to feel inspired stuck in the same student house. Simon advised that I continue to think about what it is I really enjoy photographing most. Although the lighting in this house is often difficult to work with, I think I would like to really focus on strong, dramatic lighting for my next shoot. This is something that always makes a photograph work well and thinking back to the very beginning of this project, looking at photographers like Nigel Shafran has inspired me to concentrate more on lighting.
I will also continue to keep diary entries as the weeks in lockdown go by, and continue to think about how I might make a book for my final submission.
